Nike+ Fuelband Remix

“With the online protests against SOPA this ad sums up the essence of Internet remix culture. We assume Nike paid to use the clips, but intentionally or not it shows support for the anti SOPA cause. It’s a great example of a brand demonstrating topical and cultural relevance.”

Cool. Is this tailored to be a tv advert? If so, I think I’d enjoy it more than on the internet. On the web I feel like it’s supposed to make me feel some type of inclusion into a community or theory. If I saw it on television I would be able to appreciate the lightheartedness of it a bit more. It definitely makes you wonder about the product when they actually mention it at the end…maybe a web address or visit a Nike store for more info call to action could have made it stronger? I don’t know…I just feel sold to, which is fine…but a bit more creativity would have made it worth while.
